Ten Commandments Project

Project "Ten Commandments"

Project "Ten Commandments" was effort initiated by Knights of Columbus - Michael Flohr Council #766 to place the Ten Commandment monuments at the following locations:

* DeSales High School (Completed 2007)
* St. Patrick's Church (Completed 2008)
* St. Francis Church (Completed 2007)
* Assumption Parish
(Completed 2007)

Project "Ten Commandments" was inspired in the summer of 2000, when a Ten Commandments monument was removed from the Wyandotte County Courthouse lawn in Kansas City after the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) threatened to sue over what it claimed was a violation of the First Amendment to the Constitution.

Project "Ten Commandments" goal is to make the Ten Commandments more widely known, more deeply understood and more faithfully followed. God's commandments need to be displayed prominently outside your church or school for the public as well as members participating in your church and your school.

Project "Ten Commandments" was completed in 2008
